Traveling from the northeast

A side-note to travelers: I heard a report on the radio that the Woodrow Wilson Bridge is going to be down to one lane this weekend.  If that’s right, anyone is coming in on I-95 south might want to look for non-95 routes.  Anyone know more about this?

That’s correct. They’re finally finishing the new bridgespan and the transition period is causing some hangups. I don’t know how much it would back up to the stretch of 95 above the beltway — once you’re on 495, you’re going in the opposite direction from the bridge and should be fine. But if you’re nervous and looking to be sure (and coming from Baltimore or points north), take the BW Parkway instead of 95 and it should help a bit.
