Three years ago I began an on-line database of African-American cemeteries so that descendants could locate their relatives within a tri-county area (in central Virginia). Visit: www.virginia.edu/woodson/projects/aacaac/ I also started a local history blog (www.locohistory.org) to encourage residents to explore county history. I am always interested in new and improved ways to get people interested in the history of their local community.
